Drain Line Augmentation

During the colder months the staff takes the opportunity to recondition most of our maintenance equipment and the golf cart fleet. During this process there is plenty of repair, replacement and sharpening that goes on. One of our steps is to really clean and detail the piece of equipment and wax all areas that we can. We have room to wash a single piece inside but the problem has always been the floor drain that is in our building. It was poorly placed and like most floor drains, 90% of the water did not flow into it naturally. This also created a safety hazard.

What was done in the past was suit up and brave the elements to wash outside and then bring the equipment inside. Not an ideal situation. In the last few weeks we cut into the maintenance facility floor and installed a new strip drain that feeds into the existing drain. Although the job was a challenge, it turned out well and it works perfectly. Gone are the days washing outside during cold weather and the safety hazard of a floor with water standing on it.
