Irrigation Technology

It may be hard to make out this picture but this is a very small example of how inovation leads to solving problems.
Above is a Toro 855S sprinkler. We have a row of irrigation heads along the entrance to the golf course. The last head on the row hit our entrance sign during it's rotation on nights when it was set to run. It sounds like a easy fix but because of the angle of the head and it's location we always left it set to off and tried to remember to turn it on by hand every once in awhile. This would save the sign from being destroyed over time by the high pressure stream directed right through the center.
Well, most heads that are not functioning properly and are only turned on by hand don't usually run enough at a golf course. The picture above is from a new sprinkler head made by Toro that allows more adjustment of where the water is placed than has ever been possible. The new sprinkler body has allowed this sprinkler to once again be used and will lead to a better stand of grass on the north west side of the entrance.
