Mike & Mike (not the ESPN hosts) put the finishing touches on the fall application of gypsum at Hickory Ridge. This application will help displace the salt that accumulates in the irrigated areas at the golf course. This salt load slowly rises over the course of a year due to the use of effluent water for irrigation at the golf course. During most years the rains of spring and fall will help along with the gypsum to reverse some of the salt load that the is elevated from the use of our water source. The Calicum (Ca) in the gypsum will take the place of salts on the
Soil Colloids.
